In the middle of the idyllic Sauerland countryside, right on the edge of the forest in Küstelberg near Winterberg, the Haus am Walde awaits you - a lovingly renovated former farmhouse dating back to 1848. Once a traditional guesthouse, we have put our heart and soul into transforming the house into an inviting holiday home that combines comfort and cosiness. Küstelberg, a picturesque district of Medebach, lies amidst the rolling hills and dense forests of the Hochsauerland. The region is known for its impressive nature and offers countless leisure activities at any time of year. In winter, the area offers perfect conditions for winter sports: a cross-country ski trail starts right by the house and the ski areas of Winterberg are just a few minutes away. Slopes, toboggan runs and modern ski lifts await you there. In summer, the surrounding area is transformed into a paradise for nature lovers and active holidaymakers. You can explore the varied landscape of the Sauerland on numerous hiking and cycling trails directly from the house - whether by mountain bike or e-bike, there are numerous routes for every level. Our first holiday flat, the Fuchsbau, offers a generous 100 m² of space for up to six people. Three cosy bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and an inviting living room in the style of a forest lodge make your stay a real feel-good experience. As a special highlight, the infrared sauna invites you to relax after an active day. We are particularly fond of families: children up to the age of 17 stay with us free of charge. But smaller groups of up to six people are also very welcome.
